Diversity Demos Virtual Cooking Event: Making Hummus

Please join us for the next Diversity Demos virtual cooking session on May 4th from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. 
Register HERE.  Diversity Demos is a relaxing way for HMS trainees and instructors to make new connections, strengthen existing relationships, and increase culinary skills and knowledge.  

Our next session will feature Chef Rahul Moolgaonkar and Wellness Manager Eliza Jones, MS RD LDN from Restaurant Associates (the organization that runs HMS’s dining locations) demonstrating how to prepare hummus, a creamy dip with Egyptian origins featuring chickpeas as its central ingredient.  Spring is a great time to learn to make hummus in preparation for all the fresh veggies to come this growing season!

Beyond hummus, you will also learn:
-how to roast chickpeas for a healthy, crunchy snack;
-ways to use tahini (sesame seed paste, another ingredient in hummus) in dressings and sauces; and
-some nutrition and cooking tips. 


Once you register, you will receive a list of ingredients to buy as well as suggestions for a beverage pairing and playlist.
