Dr. Bernadette Theodore-Gandi is Caribbean Program Coordinator, The Pan American Health Organization, Office of Caribbean Program Coordination (PAHO/OCPC). She began her long affiliation with the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in 1990 and her past positions include PAHO/WHO Representative, Guyana, Advisor in Health Promotion, PAHO/WHO Trinidad and Tobago, and Medical Epidemiologist, Caribbean Epidemiology Centre, PAHO/WHO Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Theodore-Gandi’s most recent publications include Smoking and Health in the Americas: A 1992 Report of the Surgeon General, and Health Conditions in the Caribbean: Pan American Health Organization Scientific Publication No. 561. Dr. Theodore-Gandi received her Degree in Medicine from the National University of Ireland, University College Cork, and her MPH degree from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She also attended the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and The Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for additional studies.
