Bio

Dr. Tsai has most recently served as an emergency physician at Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Her experiences in the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California General Hospital Emergency Department, where she served both immigrant and gang populations, helped shape her efforts in violence prevention. One of her accomplishments has been her ability to set up a fully functioning clinic to facilitate her innovative work in the area of tattoo removal for ex-gang members. Her goals include health care management focusing on strategy determination.

Dr. Tsai received her medical degree from Albany Medical College, Albany, NY in 1997, and completed her internship in internal medicine at the UCLA/West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Internal Medicine Training Program in Los Angeles in 1998. Dr. Tsai completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Los Angeles County General Hospital/University of Southern California in 2001. She received an M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2004 as a CES Scholar.
