Bio

Dr. Chidambaran is currently the medical officer for quality in the US Department of Health and Human Services at the Bureau of Primary Health care at HRSA, in Rockville, MD.  As an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, she is actively involved in teaching, research, working in health policy related projects and in healthcare entrepreneurship. Her primary interests are in integrated healthcare delivery, and in creating innovative solutions to improve patient involvement in chronic disease management and primary prevention using web based health tools to improve patient provider interaction.

Dr. Chidambaran is the founder and Board member of iHealthEngines, a web based patient interactive health education company focused on transforming consumer involvement in healthcare. 

Dr. Chidambaran has been a Physician for over ten years with an extensive expertise in integrated healthcare delivery. In her clinical role, most recently, she was a physician at the Harvard University Health Services, where she worked with a multi-cultural patient population. She is currently an associate physician at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston. Prior to Harvard, she was in the Bay Area as an internist with the Kaiser Permanente medical group in California and also worked for diabetes prevention and care for patients of San Francisco General Hospital and the California Health Network clinics at large.

Dr. Chidambaran was a California Endowment Scholar in Health Policy at Harvard Medical School and has an MPH in Healthcare Management and Policy from the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed her internal medicine training at Albert Einstein Medical School, NY and Kaiser Permanente in CA.
