HHMI Exceptional Research Opportunities Program (EXROP) at Harvard Medical School

The goal of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Exceptional Opportunities Program (EXROP) is to ensure that a diverse and highly trained workforce is available to assume leadership roles in science, including college and university faculty who have the responsibility to develop the next generation of scientists. EXROP provides outstanding summer research experiences in HHMI scientists’ laboratories to exceptional undergraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds and groups underrepresented in the sciences.

The HHMI EXROP is offered at Harvard Medical School (HMS) through HMS Office for Diversity Inclusion and Community Partnership.  In  addition to research experiences, the EXROP students will be provided opportunities to participate in enriched programmatic/networking activities across the Longwood and Cambridge campuses.
